WAFCON 2026: Morocco Thrash Kenya 4-0 in Group A Opener

Morocco started their 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) campaign with a convincing 4-0 victory over Kenya at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium on Sunday evening.

The hosts took control early when Sakina Ouzraoui Diki opened the scoring in the 19th minute.

Morocco doubled their lead nine minutes later through Maryame Atiq, before Jraidi added a third in the 32nd minute to complete a dominant spell for Jorge Vilda's side.

Jraidi struck again just two minutes after the restart, putting the result beyond doubt and ending Kenya's hopes of a comeback.

The emphatic victory sends Morocco to the top of Group A, ahead of Algeria on goal difference.
