Vozinha responds to transfer rumours
At 40, the Cape Verdean international goalkeeper has set out his ambitions and issued a warning to suitors.
Since his impressive performances at the 2026 World Cup with Cape Verde, Vozinha has been the subject of transfer speculation during this summer’s transfer window. He has even been linked with Inter Miami, where he could play alongside Lionel Messi.
When asked about his future, Vozinha revealed that his aim is to continue his career, provided his physical condition allows it. However, the Cape Verdean international goalkeeper has made it clear what sort of sporting project he is looking for.
“I love football. To still be here at 40 years old is because I truly have this passion. I want to play for at least another one or two years, depending on how my body feels and reacts.
We never know what tomorrow brings, but I want to keep playing. I just hope I can find a club that truly wants me as a footballer, not for marketing purposes.”
