Vladimir Petković Agrees to FAF Conditions to Stay on as Algeria Head Coach

Algeria head coach Vladimir Petković is set to remain in charge of the national team after reportedly agreeing to a number of conditions laid down by the Algerian Football Federation (FAF).

According to journalist Mohammed Nedjari, the Swiss-Bosnian tactician has accepted the federation's demands, which include spending three weeks each month in Algeria and making significant changes to his coaching staff.

As part of the agreement, former Algeria internationals Antar Yahia and Karim Matmour are expected to join Petković's backroom team as assistant coaches.

Sharing the update on X, Nedjari wrote:

"Unless there's a last-minute surprise, Petković has decided to see out his contract with the FAF and honour its terms (three-week stays per month in Algeria). Antar Yahia and Karim Matmour will take on the roles of assistants."
