Appointed in July 2026 on a contract running until June 2028, Denis Lavagne will not be continuing his tenure with the reigning Ugandan Premier League champions.

Vipers SC announced the parting of ways with the French manager on Saturday 24 October. However, the Ugandan club has not disclosed the reasons behind the end of this partnership.

Although they finished the 2025–2026 season without suffering a single league defeat, the club currently sit in 5th place in the Ugandan Premier League this season with 11 points from six matches played.
