Real Madrid winger and Brazilian national team player Vinícius Júnior was forced to leave the field in yesterday's match against Colombia in the 27th minute due to discomfort in his thigh, rendering him unable to continue playing.

Despite his brief appearance, the Real Madrid star managed to assist in a goal during the match. In the 4th minute, Vinícius provided an assist to his national teammate and Arsenal player Gabriel Martinelli.

However, despite the quick goal, it wasn't enough for the Brazilian team to secure a victory as Liverpool's player Luis Diaz's brace ensured Colombia's win.

Ahead of the decisive match against the Argentine national team on Tuesday, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) confirmed Vinicius' departure from the squad, ruling him out of the Wednesday match.

Throughout this season, the Real Madrid star has been dealing with thigh and knee tendon issues. Returning to his national team, he evidently aimed to protect his long-term physical condition. However, this decision will sideline him for the encounter against their primary rival, Argentina, a crucial match for Brazil as Lionel Messi and his team lead the South American qualifiers with 12 points, while the "Seleção" sits fifth with only seven points.

Following the match, Vinicius shared a post on social media with the caption, "We will come back stronger."
