Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior has resumed training after his injury. The Brazilian has been following an individualized program at the club's facilities, as reported by AS.

Reports suggest that his recovery progress is positive, and the Brazilian international could rejoin the team earlier than expected. The attacking midfielder aims to return to the squad for the Spanish Super Cup semifinal against Atletico Madrid, scheduled for January 10, 2024.

Vinicius suffered a knee tendon injury on November 17 during a match for the Brazilian national team against Colombia (1-2) in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Initially, it was anticipated that he would spend a minimum of 2.5 months on the sidelines.

The 23-year-old has been with Real Madrid since 2018, joining from Flamengo for €45 million. In the current season, the talented Brazilian has scored six goals and provided four assists in 13 appearances across all competitions.

Earlier reports suggested that Real Madrid might need to delve into the transfer market in winter due to Junior's injury, with Timo Werner being touted as one of the potential replacements for the Brazilian.
