VIDEO. Victor Boniface was in a terrible accident and miraculously survived. What is known?
Yesterday, in the seventh round of the German Bundesliga, Bayer Leverkusen faced Eintracht Frankfurt in an away match. The winning goal came from Victor Boniface, but what could have been a day of celebration nearly ended in tragedy for the Nigerian striker.
Details: After the match, Boniface was on his way home when he was involved in a horrific car accident. While detailed information is currently scarce, it is confirmed that the player is unharmed.
Boniface himself shared footage from the crash on his Instagram page, though the photos and videos have since been removed, likely at the request of the police.
However, some of the images and videos shared by the player are still circulating online.
There are also pictures, possibly taken by police, from the scene of the accident.
On his social media page, X (formerly Twitter), Boniface posted a simple yet powerful message:
"God is the greatest ❤️."
Bayer Leverkusen's official account responded with:
"Stay safe, Victor - we're all thinking of you and your team-mates 🙏."
Reminder: Thanks to yesterday's victory, Bayer Leverkusen climbed to fourth place in the Bundesliga standings. The gap between them and league leaders Bayern Munich is now just three points.
