Valencia is one of Spain’s most storied clubs, but recently, it has been going through extremely tough times, with fans placing the blame squarely on the club’s owner, Peter Lim.
Details: Yesterday, Valencia suffered a 2-3 home defeat to Las Palmas, a team that had been at the bottom of the table before the 10th round. As a result, Valencia, with just 6 points, has now dropped to last place.
After the match, Valencia fans took to the streets en masse, demanding Peter Lim’s departure from the club.
Since Lim's arrival at Valencia, the club has been mired in debt, and construction of the new Mestalla stadium, which was set to host 2030 World Cup matches, has been halted.
Now, Valencia faces the threat of relegation to the Segunda División, where they last played in the 1986/87 season.
Reminder: Previously, two Valencia fans were imprisoned in Singapore for criticizing the club's owner.
