The legendary French forward of Al Ittihad, Karim Benzema, has finally ended his goal drought.
The winner of the 2022 Ballon d'Or scored a goal in the 1st minute of the match for the Saudi Arabian Super Cup against Al Wahda. A defender from the opposing team made a gross mistake in the penalty area, gifting the ball to the former Real Madrid forward.
This goal marks Benzema's first in all competitions since December 15th of last year, when he scored against Egypt's Al Ahly in the Club World Cup quarter-finals.
Benzema last scored in the Pro League of Saudi Arabia on November 30th in a match against Al Khaleej. In total, the goal against Al-Wahda was Benzema's 13th in 27 matches for Al Ittihad.
