Max Verstappen's home Dutch Grand Prix came to a premature end. The Red Bull driver was involved in a crash as early as lap two, losing control on a wet section of the circuit.

Verstappen lost control of his car, slid off the track, and slammed into the barriers. The car suffered significant damage, and for the four-time world champion, his home race was over almost as soon as it began.

Following Verstappen's crash, race control was forced to halt the race with red flags. The Grand Prix will be restarted from the grid, but the main favorite of the Dutch crowd is already out of contention.

The crash dealt a major blow to Verstappen, who traditionally enjoys massive support from the home fans. Now Red Bull will have to continue the fight without their star driver, while the rest of the field gets a chance to restart the race from scratch.

Thus, one of the most anticipated moments of the home Grand Prix turned into disappointment for Verstappen and his team as early as the second lap.
