In the quarterfinals, the Japanese player lost in three sets to another renowned opponent, Bianca Andreescu (Canada, WTA 228), in a match that lasted 2 hours and 22 minutes.

In the semifinals of the tournament in the Netherlands, Andreescu will face Dalma Gálfi (Hungary, WTA 138).
