VIDEO. Horrific crash: MotoGP riders collide at 240 km/h
This weekend, MotoGP witnessed one of the most terrifying crashes of the current season.
Details: During today’s sprint race at Phillip Island, Australia, Italian rider Marco Bezzecchi and Spaniard Maverick Viñales were battling for position with just two laps remaining. In the end, both riders came off worse.
Bezzecchi appeared to lose control of his motorcycle and crashed into Viñales at full speed. Both riders were thrown off their bikes, with Bezzecchi even being launched into the air for several seconds.
Metrics revealed that the riders were traveling at approximately 240 km/h at the time of the crash.
Fortunately, neither rider sustained serious injuries, though Bezzecchi was sent to the hospital for further examination.
Quote: After the incident, Viñales spoke to the media, stating that the situation had almost been resolved.
“He told me he’ll come to talk later, everything’s fine. He explained his point of view, and I understand. This is racing, and things like this can happen,” said the Spaniard.
Reminder: Earlier, we reported that Michael Schumacher’s Ferrari will be auctioned.
