VIDEO. Fans clash with police before a Conference League match in Birmingham
A massive brawl broke out between Aston Villa and Legia ahead of the Conference League match, reports the Express and Star.
According to the source, the clash occurred between fans of the Polish club and Birmingham police. During a scuffle with fans, three police officers were injured.
The publication writes that the meeting began when most of the Legia fans were not yet able to get to the stadium. This happened because the British police did not allow them to enter due to their inappropriate behavior.
During the scuffle, fans threw pyrotechnics, bottles, tree branches and other objects at the police.
The source also notes that one of the injured policemen received burns from a fire that hit him.
The dissatisfaction of fans from Poland was due to the fact that the management of the English team reduced the number of tickets available for purchase for the match with Aston Villa from 2100 to 890.
