Young Tunisian goalkeeper Amanallah Memmiche made a disastrous mistake during his country's match against host Madagascar in the fifth and penultimate round of the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

When the score was indicating that Tunisia was leading by one goal to none, and against the run of play, the Madagascar team succeeded in achieving the equalizer in the 20th minute, after a grave mistake by Amanallah Memmiche.

The dramatic win was sealed in stoppage time when Tunisia, reduced to 10 men following Wajdi Kechrida’s red card, scored a decisive third goal.

With 10 points, Tunisia tops Group A and has officially qualified for AFCON 2025 in Morocco. This marks Tunisia’s 22nd qualification and their 17th consecutive appearance in the prestigious tournament.
