Victor Osimhen, Wilfred Ndidi, Paul Onuachu and Chidozie Awaziem Leave Super Eagles Camp After AFCON 2025 Third-Place Win

Several key members of the Super Eagles have reportedly departed the team camp following Nigeria’s victory over Egypt in the third-place playoff at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Victor Osimhen, Wilfred Ndidi, Paul Onuachu, and Chidozie Awaziem all left Casablanca shortly after the match, traveling on a private jet. The quartet’s early exit comes despite Nigeria’s podium finish at the tournament.

Osimhen, Ndidi, and Onuachu currently play their club football in Turkey, while Awaziem is based in France. Their club commitments are believed to be the primary reason behind their swift departure from the national team camp.

As a result, none of the four players will be present at the official AFCON awards ceremony scheduled to take place after the final. Medals were not presented immediately after the third-place match on Saturday, making their attendance at the ceremony necessary for collection.
