Victor Osimhen Scores Sixth League Goal as Galatasaray Crush Antalyaspor 4–1 to Stay Top of Super Lig

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen continued his impressive form on Saturday, scoring his sixth league goal of the season as Galatasaray cruised to a dominant 4–1 victory over Antalyaspor in their Turkish Super Lig clash.

Galatasaray wasted no time asserting their dominance, racing into a 2–0 lead within the opening 15 minutes. Goals from Leroy Sané and Roland Sallai put the Istanbul giants firmly in control and set the tone for a one-sided encounter.

Osimhen effectively ended the contest in the 56th minute, calmly finishing Galatasaray’s third goal of the afternoon. The strike was his sixth in the Super Lig this season and took his overall tally to 12 goals in 16 appearances across all competitions, further highlighting his importance to the team.

Antalyaspor pulled one goal back in the 69th minute, but any hopes of a comeback were short-lived. Mauro Icardi sealed the win with a late strike, ensuring Galatasaray claimed all three points convincingly.

The victory keeps Galatasaray top of the Super Lig standings, extending their lead to five points ahead of second-placed Trabzonspor, who face Besiktas on Sunday.

Osimhen will now turn his attention to international duty with Nigeria. The Super Eagles have been drawn in Group C of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, alongside Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania.
