Victor Osimhen Challenges Robert Lewandowski for Record

Already on a run of eight consecutive European matches with at least one goal, Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen is on the verge of making European history by breaking a Robert Lewandowski record.

During this impressive run, he has found the net against Liverpool, Bodø/Glimt, Ajax (2), Tottenham Hotspur, AZ Alkmaar, and Dynamo Kyiv (2). Osimhen is now aiming for a 9-game goal streak. This record is currently held by Lewandowski.

However, before Galatasaray's Champions League match against Union Saint-Gilloise, the Super Eagles striker must still undergo a physical test. Indeed, he injured a muscle during Nigeria's defeat against DR Congo in the 2026 World Cup playoff in Morocco.
