Victor Osimhen Becomes Second Nigerian with UEFA Champions League Hat-Trick After Historic Night Against Ajax

Victor Osimhen made history on Wednesday night, becoming only the second Nigerian player to score a hat-trick in the UEFA Champions League. The Super Eagles striker fired Galatasaray to a commanding 3–0 victory over Ajax at the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam.

Osimhen broke the deadlock in the 59th minute with a powerful header, then coolly converted a penalty in the 66th minute. He completed his historic hat-trick 12 minutes later with another composed finish from the spot, sealing a memorable night for both himself and Galatasaray.

This record-breaking display places Victor Osimhen alongside Yakubu Ayegbeni, who was the first Nigerian to score a Champions League hat trick back in 2002 for Maccabi Haifa in a 3–0 win over Olympiacos.
