Victor Osimhen Arrives in Uyo to Support Super Eagles Ahead of Madagascar Clash

Victor Osimhen has arrived in Uyo to support the Super Eagles ahead of their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Madagascar despite being sidelined through injury.

The Galatasaray striker is currently unavailable after failing to recover in time from a right adductor muscle injury, ruling him out of Nigeria’s opening AFCON qualifiers against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau.

Osimhen has now travelled to Uyo to be with his teammates as they prepare for Friday’s crucial encounter at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.

The 26-year-old is expected to watch the match from the sidelines as the Super Eagles begin their 2027 AFCON qualifying campaign at home.

Nigeria will face Madagascar in Uyo on Friday, September 25, before travelling to Bissau for their second qualifier against Guinea-Bissau on Tuesday, September 29.
