Victor Boniface Still Searching for Werder Bremen Goal Ahead of AFCON 2025
Nigeria international Victor Boniface remains in search of his first league goal for Werder Bremen after being introduced in the 79th minute during the club’s 3–2 Bundesliga defeat to Hamburg on Sunday.
The forward has now gone 10 league appearances without scoring, though he has contributed two assists since joining the German side. His goal drought has been a talking point among fans, but Boniface continues to work hard in Bremen’s attacking lineup.
Werder Bremen currently sits 11th in the Bundesliga table with 15 points, navigating a challenging start to the season. Despite the team’s ups and downs, Boniface is now turning his focus to international football.
The striker has been included in Nigeria’s 54-man provisional squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where he hopes to rediscover his scoring form and make a strong impression for the Super Eagles on the continental stage.
