Victor Boniface Drops Hint Over Bayer Leverkusen Return After Bremen Struggles
Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has hinted that he could be heading back to Bayer Leverkusen following a difficult loan spell with Werder Bremen.
The Nigerian forward struggled to make an impact during his time at Bremen, with injuries and fitness concerns disrupting his season. Boniface made 11 appearances for the club but failed to score during the campaign.
After the season ended, the striker shared a message reflecting on the challenges he faced throughout the year.
“Wow, what a crazy season for me. A lot has happened, and I just want to say thank you very much to the fans, staff, and players.”
According to reports from German outlet Kicker, Werder Bremen are not expected to keep Boniface beyond his loan deal, paving the way for his return to Bayer Leverkusen ahead of next season.
