It’s reported that Giroud will remain with the team at least until the end of the 2026/27 season and won’t be leaving this summer.
Giroud joined Lille in July 2025 as a free agent after departing from Los Angeles.
For Lille, Giroud has played 44 matches, scoring 11 goals and providing 1 assist.
This makes Giroud one of the oldest active players competing at the professional level.
At the end of the 2025/26 season, Lille finished third in Ligue 1 and will play in the Champions League next season.
