"Very unfortunate": Slot reflects on Ten Hag’s departure from Manchester United

News of Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag's dismissal hit especially hard for his compatriot Arne Slot, despite Slot's own position with rival team Liverpool.

Details: The Liverpool manager acknowledged Ten Hag’s extensive efforts with United, yet Slot remains confident that his Dutch colleague will soon find himself at another prestigious club.

Quote: “He’s a Dutch manager, so it’s harder for me and for us, the Dutch. You always think first about the person. We all work in this profession, so we know this can happen, but to receive news like this — especially knowing him a little and how much effort he’s put in—it's very unfortunate.

“We also know, particularly those of us from Holland, how well he did at Ajax, winning two trophies there, so I’m sure we’ll see him soon in another top club.” said Slot, as quoted by Sky Sports.
