Being one of the biggest stars in world football comes at the cost of personal freedom.

Details: Wojciech Szczęsny recalled an unusual conversation with Cristiano Ronaldo during their time together at Juventus. The Polish goalkeeper couldn't understand why the Portuguese forward was investing so much in renovating his house when he was only planning to stay in Turin for a few years.

"One day Cristiano decided to undertake a massive renovation of his house in Turin. I asked him, ‘Why? You’ll be here three or four years at most. What’s the point?’ He replied, ‘Yeah, but you can go out to the movies. I can’t leave the house.’" Szczęsny revealed.

Ronaldo’s response made the goalkeeper see things from a different perspective. For the Portuguese superstar, his own house wasn’t just a place to live—it was one of the few spaces where he could truly feel free and spend time without the constant attention of fans and the media.

Reminder: Is Al-Nassr bankrupt? Will Ronaldo look for a new club?
