Varane could return to his former club, but not to Real

Raphael Varane is reportedly very dissatisfied with his current situation at Manchester United and is seriously considering the possibility of leaving the club either in the winter or in the summer.

However, according to L'Equipe, Real Madrid is not interested in bringing back their former legend. A likely option at the moment is Varane returning to his hometown club, Lens. However, the only feasible scenario currently is a loan deal until the end of the season with Manchester United covering a significant portion of his salary.

Varane himself is open to returning to Lens. Clubs from Saudi Arabia have also shown interest, but the Frenchman prefers to stay in Europe.

In the current season, Varane has lost his place in Manchester United's starting lineup, playing 14 matches in all competitions and scoring one goal.
