Valverde Likely to Miss Champions League Clash Against Atletico

Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde has been unavailable to Carlo Ancelotti for the past few weeks. The Italian hopes he will be back for the match against Atletico, but that remains an optimistic outlook.
Details: According to Marca, even though Real's head coach mentioned that Valverde might return for the Champions League match, he would only manage one training session with the team. Currently, he is following an individual training regimen, and today the club's medical staff is set to assess the Uruguayan's readiness to rejoin team activities.
Reminder: Valverde sustained a muscle injury in a home game against Manchester City and has since missed matches against Girona, Real Sociedad, and Betis. Dani Ceballos is also injured, and he might miss the season's end as well.
