On Thursday, April 4th, the first round of this tournament will commence. The organization has released the schedule and starting times for the main flights for the first two rounds. Below is the schedule provided by Dailysports, with local time indicated, and Central European Time (CET) in parentheses:

First Round

  • At 2:08 PM ET (20:08 CET), the trio of McIlroy, Fowler, and Fleetwood will grace the field.
  • At 8:53 AM ET (14:53 CET), Homа, Morikawa, and Conners will embark on their round.
  • At 9:15 AM ET (15:15 CET), Oberg, English, and Damen will commence their play.
  • At 2:19 PM ET (20:19 CET), Spieth, Matsuyama, and Glover will tee off.
  • At 9:04 AM ET (15:04 CET), Fitzpatrick, Harman, and Scott will start their round.
  • At 2:30 PM ET (20:30 CET), Kim, Batia, and Henley will take to the course.

Second Round

  • At 8:53 AM ET (14:53 CET), McIlroy, Fowler, and Fleetwood will return to the field.
  • At 2:08 PM ET (20:08 CET), Homа, Morikawa, and Conners will resume their journey.
  • At 2:30 PM ET (20:30 CET), Oberg, English, and Damen will continue their play.
  • At 9:04 AM ET (15:04 CET), Spieth, Matsuyama, and Glover will restart their round.
  • At 2:19 PM ET (20:19 CET), Fitzpatrick, Harman, and Scott will recommence their play.
  • At 9:15 AM ET (15:15 CET), Kim, Batia, and Henley will return to the course.

The current champion of this tournament is Canadian golfer Corey Conners.

The Valero Texas Open, formerly known as the Texas Open, is a renowned professional golf tournament under the auspices of the PGA Tour, held near San Antonio, Texas. Established 102 years ago in 1922, it has a rich history in the world of golf.

In 2002, the Valero Energy Corporation, headquartered in San Antonio, acquired the naming rights to the tournament. It is hosted at The Oaks Course within the TPC San Antonio golf club, situated northeast of the city.

Notably, from March 28th to 31st, another tournament, the Houston Open, took place in Texas. Stefan Egger emerged as the victor, finishing the tournament with a score of -12, surpassing par.
