Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury will face off in their highly anticipated rematch on Saturday, December 21. On the eve of the fight, the weigh-in and final staredown took place.
Details: The British boxer was the first to step on the scale, weighing in at 127.4 kilograms—almost 10 kilograms more than in the first fight. As for the Ukrainian, Usyk registered a weight of 102.5 kilograms, one kilogram heavier than his first bout. Notably, this marks a career-high weight for Oleksandr.
The staredown between the two fighters followed, but it was brief, lasting only a few seconds. Tyson Fury quickly ended the exchange and left the event.
It’s worth mentioning that on Thursday, December 19, the final press conference took place, culminating in an epic staredown. Usyk and Fury demonstrated incredible composure, locking eyes for nearly 10 minutes. Ultimately, it was Fury who cracked under the pressure.
