Usyk shared which team he supported in his childhood and which footballer he admired
The undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, Oleksandr Usyk, shared which team he supported as a child and who his favorite player was.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, the boxer revealed that he has always been a fan of Manchester United. He also admired Gary Neville.
"I was a fan of Gary Neville and others, including David Beckham. Back then, it was a team that was hard to play against. But if we're talking about my favorite players, they were probably Andriy Shevchenko, Zlatan Ibrahimović, and Ronaldo—the old 'toothy' one. Obviously, Messi and the other Ronaldo were also great players for me," Usyk said.
He also added that he always wanted to be a footballer and enjoys training with Polissya. This allowed him to take a break from boxing and unwind for a while.
After his victory over Tyson Fury in May, Usyk didn't celebrate in the usual way. He simply had a quiet dinner with his family and spent time playing football.
It’s worth noting that the advisor to Saudi Arabia's Royal Court and current head of General Entertainment, Turki Al-Sheikh, has shared plans for upcoming fights involving Usyk, Fury, and Joshua.
