Usuthu Co-Coach Vilakazi Praises New Signing’s Leadership

Although yet to debut for AmaZulu, Bongani Zungu is already leaving his mark off the field. The experienced midfielder, signed alongside Sandile Mthethwa in December, has impressed co-coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi with his mentorship of the club’s young players.

“They are not only here to play but also to guide our youngsters from the Diski team,” Vilakazi said after AmaZulu’s 1-0 victory over Cape Town City. “I was pleased to see Zungu advising three junior players during our last training session. That’s the kind of contribution we expect from someone of his caliber.”

Zungu and Mthethwa could make their debuts this week when AmaZulu face Golden Arrows. Vilakazi is confident that Zungu’s experience will bolster the team on the field, adding, “In terms of playing, he will definitely add value. We’re looking forward to having him in action soon.”

AmaZulu's confidence in Zungu's ability to lead highlights their dedication to developing youthful talent and fortifying their team for upcoming difficulties.
