The first reformed Club World Cup is set to take place in the United States, but it may not be the last tournament hosted by the North American nation.

Details: According to Inside World Football, FIFA President Gianni Infantino is considering holding the 2029 Club World Cup in the USA as well. However, the decision still needs to be approved by the FIFA Council, though recent voting trends suggest this will likely be a formality if Infantino is determined to make it happen.

If the 2029 Club World Cup is indeed hosted in the USA, it will mark the country’s sixth major international sporting event in a short span, following the 2024 Copa América, the 2025 Club World Cup, the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the 2028 Winter Olympics, and the 2031 Women’s World Cup.

Reminder: FIFA only secured a broadcaster for the 2025 Club World Cup at the last minute, with the rights going to the DAZN platform.
