Tomorrow, August 26, the fourth and final Grand Slam tournament of the year—the US Open—will commence on the courts of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York. The tournament's qualification rounds were held earlier, from August 19 to 22, where 16 of the best men and women were selected from 128 non-top-ranked athletes.

The women's singles final is scheduled for September 7, while the men's singles final will take place the following day. The tournament will officially conclude on September 9. A total of 128 athletes will compete in the singles category, 64 teams in doubles, and 32 in mixed doubles.

Novak Djokovic will defend his title in the men's category, while Coco Gauff will do the same in the women's category. Notably, all top-10 ranked players in both the men's and women's categories will participate in the tournament.

The singles tournament comprises seven rounds, with each round's winner advancing closer to the final. All matches are played on hard courts.

According to bookmakers, Novak Djokovic is the favorite to win, with odds of 3. He is followed by Carlos Alcaraz with odds of 3.2, and Jannik Sinner rounds out the top three with odds of 4.

In the women's category, the second-ranked Aryna Sabalenka is the favorite, with odds of 3.5. She is followed by WTA world number one Iga Świątek with odds of 4.5, and Coco Gauff with odds of 8.5.

Participants will earn ranking points based on their progress in the tournament:
