Franco Delgado, a 20-year-old Uruguayan striker formerly with Danubio and the national U-17 team, has filed a lawsuit against Brazilian club Corinthians. As reported by FútbolUy, Delgado is seeking 604,036 reais (approximately $109,000 USD) in unpaid wages and is requesting the early termination of his contract, which runs until March 2027.

Delgado was promoted to Danubio’s senior team at just 17 during the 2023 preseason under coach Esteban Conde. However, he declined a professional offer from the club later that year and soon after signed with Corinthians, joining their youth ranks.

Since then, he has made an impact in the 2025 Brazilian U-20 league, scoring six goals in six appearances. Despite his performances, the forward has now taken legal action due to prolonged salary delays.

Corinthians have yet to comment publicly on the matter, but reports suggest the club may respond through legal channels in the coming days. The case adds a layer of tension to a transfer that was already viewed with scrutiny in Uruguay.
