Urgent! Yamal could miss matches at the 2026 World Cup

Lamine Yamal suffered an injury in his most recent match, and it has already been confirmed that he will miss the remainder of the season. Now, even more worrying updates have emerged.

Details: According to Diario SPORT, the Catalan club would be pleased if Yamal did not feature in Spain’s first two matches of the 2026 World Cup. There are concerns that he may not be 100% fit in time for the start of the tournament.

If Barcelona feel that Yamal’s recovery is not progressing as hoped, they are expected to hold talks with representatives of the Spanish national team.

In that scenario, he could miss matches against Cape Verde and Saudi Arabia, with his World Cup debut potentially coming against Uruguay.

Reminder: Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal picked up an injury in a La Liga match shortly after scoring and was forced to leave the pitch. It is now known how serious the issue is.
