Urgent! The injury suffered by Barcelona’s star player has been revealed

Barcelona defeated Real Betis 3–1 in their latest La Liga clash, but the victory was overshadowed by troubling news as Fermín López picked up an injury.

Details: It has now been confirmed following medical examinations that the Spanish forward suffered a fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his right foot during the match against Betis. The player is set to undergo surgery.

We recently reported that if the diagnosis was confirmed, López would miss the 2026 World Championship.

There is, however, some positive news for La Roja, as the recovery process of 18-year-old winger Lamine Yamal is progressing significantly faster and better than doctors initially expected.

As a reminder: A potential move for Inter and Italy defender Alessandro Bastoni to Catalan giants Barcelona is looking increasingly unlikely.
