Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior has responded to criticism from supporters following the match against Sevilla in La Liga's 17th round.
Details: After being whistled by the crowd, the Brazilian changed his Instagram profile picture to one of him in a Brazil national team jersey and posted a message with the caption “…” set against the backdrop of the jeers during the game.
It's worth noting that the whistles directed at Vinicius were heard regularly throughout the tough match, despite Real Madrid coming out on top.
After the match, Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso commented on the situation, acknowledging the fans' right to express their opinions.
“Fans have the right to voice their opinions. It was a tough match, and we understand we can play better,” the coach said.
So far this season, the Brazilian has featured in 24 matches for Real Madrid, scoring five goals and providing seven assists.
