Throughout the current season, Bayern have struggled with defensive issues, but one of their key defenders is set to remain with the team for the long haul.

Details: According to Florian Plettenberg, Bayern are on the verge of extending the contract of their main central defender, Dayot Upamecano.

The Munich club is offering the French footballer a deal until the summer of 2030, and an official announcement about the agreement is expected soon.

Upamecano's current contract with Bayern expires next summer.

Due to injuries this season, Upamecano has played only 20 matches in the Bundesliga, scoring 2 goals.

Reminder: Earlier, Bayern's stars celebrated their championship at a thermal resort after their trip to Ibiza.
