Unusual! Senegalese launch fundraising campaign to pay Pape Thiaw's fine following CAF sanctions

Called ‘Cagnotte Pape Thiaw’ on the Kopar Express platform, the campaign has already raised $4,300.

Pape Thiaw will not face the sanctions imposed by the Disciplinary Board of the Confederation of African Football alone. Suspended for five official matches and fined $100,000 following incidents during the controversial final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which Senegal won against Morocco, the coach has the support of the Senegalese people.

A few hours after the CAF Disciplinary Board's verdict, the Senegalese launched a fundraiser to pay their coach's fine.
