Portuguese club Alverca, whose controlling stake is owned by Real Madrid star Vinícius Júnior, has been fined following a match in the Portuguese Primeira.
After the game against Santa Clara, attention was drawn not so much to the result but to the behavior of the home fans, and the official match report noted an intriguing incident.
Santa Clara head coach Rafael Andrade stated that throughout the match, a strong smell of marijuana lingered near his team’s bench. According to him, the odor was coming from section A7 on the stadium’s west stand, an area occupied exclusively by Alverca supporters.

As a reminder, in February 2025, Vinícius Júnior acquired a controlling stake in Alverca. At that time, the team was competing in Portugal’s second division, but later managed to earn promotion and now plays in the country’s top-flight league.
