Barcelona will kick off their UEFA Champions League campaign on September 19 with an away match against Monaco, but Dani Olmo's participation in the game is still in doubt due to injury.

However, the win against their Catalan rivals came at a cost: Olmo was forced to leave the field after an hour of play due to injury. He returned from the Spain national team early, but his physical condition was assessed before the Girona match, and Hansi Flick included him in the starting lineup.
Additionally: Flick confirmed that Olmo is suffering from a muscle overload and will undergo further examination in the coming days before traveling to Monaco. The coach added that the player will not be risked, as Barcelona faces a demanding series of matches across all competitions in the coming weeks.
