Universidad Católica Target Everton's Alan Medina as Midfield Solution

Universidad Católica are eyeing Alan Medina, Everton’s standout Uruguayan midfielder, as a top target for the winter transfer window. According to RedGol, head coach Daniel Garnero is pushing for a true playmaker—someone who can shift the tempo and exploit space—and Medina fits the bill.

Garnero emphasized the need for “a number 10 who can read the game and create advantages,” and Medina’s stats back him up: three goals, two assists, over 90 duels won, and 40+ successful dribbles in 22 matches. The 27-year-old has been the most impactful of Everton’s recent Uruguayan signings and continues to shine while other imports like Diego Hernández and Juan Ignacio Ramírez have already moved on.
