Milan failed to defeat Feyenoord (1-1) in the second leg of the Champions League playoff round, suffering a shocking elimination on aggregate.
The exit was particularly dramatic for Milan’s winter signing, Santiago Giménez.
Details. Giménez made the switch to Milan from Feyenoord just this February. The 23-year-old Mexican striker cost the Rossoneri €32 million. In hindsight, it seems he made an unfortunate choice in terms of progressing further in the Champions League.
However, it wasn’t a disastrous game for the Mexican personally, as he managed to score against his former team in the very first minute. In doing so, he carved his name into Champions League history.
