Unexpectedly. Legendary Alex Ferguson takes a vacation in Zimbabwe
The legendary Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has unexpectedly decided to take a vacation in Zimbabwe. As reported by The Sun, the Scotsman was recently spotted at the Zimbabwean hotel Victoria Falls Safari Lodge.
There is no official information about the purpose of Ferguson's visit to Zimbabwe, but it should be noted that Safari Lodge is one of the country's major tourist attractions.
The Scotsman happily posed for photos with local residents and received loud applause from them. It is worth mentioning that according to a 2015 BBC Sport study, 28% of fans in Zimbabwe support Manchester United, so it is no surprise that Ferguson is so loved here.
The local authorities were very pleased with Sir Alex's arrival and thanked him for this visit.
"Thank you Sir Ferguson for choosing our destination. Hope you had a memorable experience in our Tourism capital Victoria Falls," wrote local politician Barbara Rwodzi on her social media.
The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority also expressed their respect and gratitude to the Scotsman.
