Novak Djokovic could make a stunning withdrawal from the ATP Finals, even though his name is already on the official entry list. The Serbian tennis icon announced that he will only reach a final decision after the tournament in Athens, where he is set to face Lorenzo Musetti in the final.

"I’ve seen the draw and the group compositions, but that doesn’t change anything. I’ll make my decision after the tournament in Athens is over," the legendary player stated at a press conference.

If the Serbian really does opt out, it would be a massive blow for the organizers—Djokovic was counted on as one of the marquee stars of the event.

It’s worth recalling that Djokovic already skipped the ATP Finals last year—then due to injury. This time, however, his decision seems to be motivated by fatigue and a desire to manage his energy wisely after a grueling season.
