Details: According to the Evening Standard, the Ghana Football Association has made a fresh attempt to persuade Crystal Palace striker Eddie Nketiah to switch his international allegiance. The 27-year-old forward, who was born in London to Ghanaian parents, is now weighing up the offer and has yet to make a final decision about his international future.

The footballer came through England’s youth teams and is the all-time leading scorer for the English Under-21 side. Nketiah made his senior debut for the Three Lions in October 2023 under Gareth Southgate, coming on in the 73rd minute of a friendly against Australia at Wembley.

Under the current FIFA regulations, because the footballer has played just one friendly and has not appeared in more than three senior competitive matches before turning 21, he remains fully eligible to switch his international allegiance and represent Ghana.

It is worth noting that in the 2025/26 season, the striker has made 19 appearances for Crystal Palace in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing one assist, having missed a significant portion of the campaign through injury. Transfermarkt values the player at €10 million.
