Mohamed Salah, an Egyptian legend, has had an unexpected turn in his Liverpool career. Salah has apparently softened his position despite recent annoyances over the club's failure to make a formal offer to extend his contract.
According to The Athletic, Salah, whose contract runs until summer 2025, is now open to accepting a one-year extension—Liverpool’s standard policy for players over 30.Earlier, Salah had demanded a two-year contract extension at his current weekly salary of £350,000.
Although talks with Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas, are going well, the 32-year-old player is still unhappy with how the club is dealing with the situation.Salah reportedly feels he is playing at his best and wants to win big trophies this season, like the Premier League and Champions League.
Since Salah can start talking to other teams from January, Liverpool needs to act quickly to secure their star player’s future. Will the team meet his demands or risk losing a modern-day legend?
