Ime Okon has made a name for himself as a promising central defender, and several clubs are now showing interest in him — one of them from Europe.
Details: According to iDiski Times, an unnamed German club has expressed interest in the young defender. The European side is currently close to finalizing a deal with the player. If everything goes according to plan, Okon will travel to Germany for a medical examination.
Recently, Ime Okon made his debut for the South African national team and helped them secure silver at the COSAFA Cup. Since then, interest in him has intensified.
While earlier reports suggested that Kaizer Chiefs were close to signing the centre-back, his contract officially expires on June 30, meaning the club is entitled to seek compensation from his next team.
