Unexpected twist. Barcelona president asks Xavi not to leave after this season

There is a possibility that the current head coach of Barcelona, Xavi, will continue working with the team beyond the conclusion of the current season!

As reported by Diario Sport, in an informal conversation, Barcelona's president Joan Laporta asked Xavi to reconsider his decision to resign. The 44-year-old coach has not yet provided his response.

There are four reasons why Laporta is urging Xavi to stay:

1. The club is satisfied with Xavi's work.
2. All the players in the dressing room are devoted to Xavi and have a fondness for him.
3. Xavi is well acquainted with the club and is aware of the economic challenges that the organization is facing, which are considered obstacles to the sporting project.
4. The club is experiencing difficulties in finding a new head coach.

It is reasonable to recall that Xavi announced his departure from Barcelona after the defeat to Villarreal (3-5).

Yesterday, it became known that the club has identified four candidates to replace Xavi: Hansi Flick, Roberto De Zerbi, Julian Nagelsmann, and Thomas Tuchel.
