Unexpected turn of events! Barcelona legend Gerard Pique has announced his return to football

Former Barcelona and Spain national team footballer Gerard Piqué has announced his return to the game, but this time in a coaching role.

The renowned ex-defender shared on his social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that he's embarking on a coaching career.

“It's a new year and after thinking carefully I have decided to return to football. I miss it a lot. This time it won't be as a player. It will be as a coach. I'll share more details at the end of the week” intrigued Pique.

At 36 years old, Pique concluded his footballing journey in late 2022. Throughout his career, the Spaniard showcased his talent at Barcelona, Manchester United, and Zaragoza. He boasts nine Spanish league titles, one English league title, and clinched the Champions League trophy four times. Internationally, he achieved success, winning both the World Cup and the European Championship with the Spanish national team.
