Just before the transfer window closes, Galatasaray is set to complete a surprising move.
Details: According to Fabrizio Romano, AC Milan striker Álvaro Morata is close to joining Galatasaray.
Italian media report that during halftime of yesterday’s match against Dinamo Zagreb (1-2), Morata had a conflict with head coach Sérgio Conceição. As a result, the Spanish forward was placed on the transfer list.
Galatasaray quickly seized the opportunity. It is known that all parties have already agreed to the move, and the deal could be finalized in the coming hours. Financial details remain undisclosed.
Morata joined Milan last summer from Atlético Madrid for €13 million. In 25 matches, he has recorded only 6 goals and 1 assist.
Reminder: Milan is looking to replace Morata with Feyenoord’s top scorer Santiago Giménez. The club is preparing a second bid for his transfer.
